Calma is an independent furniture brand from l’Empordà. Inspired in its landscapes, local craftsmanship and its people’s character. Calma confides the manufacturing of their designs to local producers. Craftsmen who have the know-how and are familiar with tradition. Masters that leave an imprint and their knowledge in each one of the pieces.
Calma believes in responsible design and creates original, unique and timeless collections. Calma also elaborates special collections with which they bring iconic masterpieces from designers like André Ricard or Pete Sans back to life.
Logo and symbol
The identity is about making a connection between the concept of “Calma” (Calm) not only with the imaginary of resting but also with a way of doing and living responsibly with oneself and their environment. The cricket as a symbol links the brand to the outdoors, the silence of a summer night surrounded by nature and the rooting with the Empordà territory.
Communication
To emphasize the narrative, we created a set of copys. These messages work as a system, in which everything that is being communicated acquires added value by rounding up every message with the words “amb Calma”. In spanish this translates as everything is better when done calmly.

Calma’s designs are inspired in l’Empordà area. Photographing the products within the context in which they have been thought-out reinforces the link between the product and it’s origin and environment.

The furniture pieces are photographed in the craftsmen workshops where they are manufactured, puting the focus in the relationship between the designs and the values of craftsmanship and local production, two values that really represent Calma’s personality.
